You can become a member of TCC by attending our Sunday School or  Worship Service and coming forward when the Invitation to join the church is extended.

If you are without a church home, a new resident of the area, a student, or residing in the area on a temporary basis, you are invited to share in the ministry of Turner Chapel AME Church.

The mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is to minister to the entire social development for all people spiritual & physical. Implementing strategies to train all members in discipleship, leadership, current teaching methods and materials, the history and significance of the A.M.E. God’s principles and social development, to which all should be applied to daily living.

At Turner we are building a community who is seeking those who honors God first.

We honor God’s greatness when we are able to magnify God and focus on his goodness in spite of our personal challenges.  Through this practice, we testify that God is greater than all.

Community Involvement

For even the son of man came not to be served, but to serve… Mark 10:45 TCC is a “community church”, designed to provide members with opportunities to serve the vulnerable, needy, and marginalized of our community and world.

    Rev. Byron Pressley Sr.

    Reverend Pressley was reared in Tampa, Florida in the Central Park Village. Rev. Pressley is currently the Pastor of Turner Chapel AMEC in Palmetto, Fl. Pastor Pressley has served as Pastor at First Mt. Carmel AMEC, New St. Paul AMEC in Tampa, and Mt. Olive AMEC in Plant City, Fl. Pastor Pressley home church is Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, Tampa, Florida. He is a 1988 graduate of Robinson High School, Tampa, Florida. He enrolled at Bethune–Cookman College in 1988 and in 1991 he matriculated at Florida A. and M. University graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. After graduation he was employed as a Misdemeanor Probation office with Salvation Army, then as a Drug Counselor with Dacco from there he became employed with the State of Florida as a Felony Probation officer he then worked at Department of Children and Families as an Economic Specialist. Reverend Pressley is currently employed as the Program Director for a mentoring program named Friends of the Children Tampa Bay Chapter where they currently serve 55 youth in the Tampa Bay Area. Rev. Byron B Pressley Sr. has been married to Sis. Wendy E Pressley for 22years. Their marriage has produced three beautiful children. Quaneisha, Byron Jr, and Brandon. They are blessed with their only grandchild, Aubree.
